So I've legally downloaded music from a few different places (iTunes, Sony Connect, eMusic). Is there any way to access them all from the same player (playlist) and burn to a CD easily? So far, it doesn't look like the different players will see the other's files.
Is there a way to convert the file formats to get them all the same?

Legally downloaded music all have DRM restrictions built in which limits what you can do with the file. Different companies use different types of DRM but the standard restrictions normally limit you to using media players/devices from the same company or only the ones you downloaded them through. For example Itunes mp4's will only play and burn through Itunes, Sony's AAC's only work on their players, and .wma's will generally only work through windows media player or the player you had at the time of download.
The only way of making them usable to all is to create individual audio CD's through their own linked media player then to rip these audio CD's back to mp3's. Mp3's are playable by all and have no inbuilt DRM.
DRM is there to stop file sharing so you should still only use those mp3's for your own personal use.
Whether you can actually be bothered doing all that is another thing and is what companies count on to limit file sharing.

Well, that's a bummer -- guess I need to just pick one site and stick with it, otherwise I can't get all the songs onto one CD. Is that correct? Unfortunately everything I was looking for wasn't available at one site.
I even tried Nero, but unless I was doing something wrong, it wouldn't let me drag all the different file types in so I could burn them that way.

fyi... i've downloaded songs from msn music & yahoo & they play fine on wmp, i've burned cd's using wmp yahoo's music jukebox & nero without any probs. if ur downloading the songs all on the same computer, u should have access 2 them all using 1 media player or burning device.

This is not true.
wtxcowboy, go and get an iTunes or Sony song and tell us which one device works for them all along with your DRM'ed wma's.
