just open my computer>
C:/ >
Program files>
and see if the "Mozilla FireFox" folder is still there and if anything is in it.

Open IE
Tools>
Internet Options>
Programs tab>
click the check box at the bottom next to "IE should check... default browser"
then close IE, open it again and when a box opens that asks if u want to make IE the default browser click ok or yes or what ever it is.

just anothr question, why did u remove firefox?

In C:/ - there was no Mozilla Fire Fox folder. However, I checked that same html folder and it now shows the Explorer (e) icon or whatever that (e) stands for and not the fox anymore!

Was able to check box "IE should check...", in programs tab - no box appeared asking to make IE the default. On same program page, was able to check box "Reset web settings" and then got the box asking if I wanted IE as the default. Clicked that and spybot asked if I wanted to change browser setting, etc.

I also found "set program access and defaults" on the start button - top of column. Changed IE to default from there after post this A.M., thought that did it. Apparantly not because "Program" tab allowed me to make IE my default. Both now say IE is default. I think - I hope!

All these setting! You know, lately all I'm dealing with is settings and double checking or changing settings! Tweak, Tweak, Tweak.

Reason Cx'd Mozilla/Firefox: I may go back to it eventually. But after I installed it and first viewed it, my first thought was, "oh great, yet another thing to set up and get used to" (Already over-stimulated in that area). So no complaints against it, just not able to give it any attention just now. And I like IE and I'm used to IE.

I think I'm good with all that now. Thanks for all your help!

Lulu5,

not a problem, yeah that all looks in order - you shouldnt have any problems anyway, its just to make sure all the paper work is done. anyhow good luck with ie

I can understand that u are getting use to other new programs, but you should seriously concider using FireFox in the near future - it will probably save you from comming here with more problems :D

take care,

Late,
