I have a large amount of pictures in a Folder. I would like to move more than one of them at a time to a seperate Folder. How can I do this?

Hi,
To move all of them:
Open the folder with the photos in then click Ctrl and (letter) a together. This should highlight them all. Then click Cntrl and (letter) c together (to copy).
Then open the folder you want to move them to and click Ctrl and (letter) v (to paste)

To move a selection:
Select the first pic you want to move., then click Cntrl and then click on all of those you want to move. Then click Cntrl and c then open the folder you're moving them to and click Cntrl and v.

If you want to remove them completely from their original folder use Cntrl and x (to cut) rather than Cntrl and c (to copy).

Hope that helps?

Richard.

If those photos are important and irreplaceable, make sure you have at least one copy of them backed up to reliable external media.

If the Windows operating system crashes or the hard drive dies, you stand to lose them all permanently.

You're welcome  and as Frank mentioned don't forget to make backups :)

Thank you flavallee for the advice.

You're welcome.

I've read plenty of "horror stories" from people here who lost months/years worth of family/vacation/wedding videos/photos because they never backed them up and never expected their computers to crash or die.
