I had a problem with the Joe Hill virus last year. I just went into properties of my computer and Joe Hill is listed as the registered to: person. I also can't find out what name is my admistrator. I can't get into documents and settings.

I had a problem with the Joe Hill virus last year. Now I just went to my computer and clicked on My Computer and looked at properties...its says Joe Hill. I have 4 users and I can't figure out which is my administrator. I have no access to shared documents? Help
I'm running Windows XP home edition.

You can change the registered owner shown in System Properties using Regedit. Open Regedit and navigate to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.

Then modify the RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization values.

Thank you for being so patience. I did that...I got to HKEY_Local It doesn't have the ._MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.

..I click on HKEY_LOCAL and the following came up
Hardware
SAM
Security
Software
System
How do I now get to RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization values.?
