Hey folks. I haven't had an operational printer on my Win 98 SE system for over a year. My boss gave me a Canon BJC 5000 printer since it doesn't work on his XP system. All I got from him was the printer and cables. No manual, install disk etc. I downloaded the appropriate driver file from Canon, but haven't executed it yet. Do I turn the PC off, hook up the printer and reboot, letting Windows find the new device, then run the driver install? Or, do I install the driver, turn PC off, then hook up the printer, then reboot? Thanks for any input, Todd.
