Hey! I would like to install the ATI Radeon HD 4870 on the MSI P45 Platinum Motherboard. Is this possible?

As long as it has a PCIe x16 slot and a PSU with the right outs your good.

Your mobo is Crossfire X ready for upto two cards (also crossfire X spec)

Your power supply needs to be of good quality with enough wattage / amps.
