Solved: I need a disk cloning recommendation

I purchased TI10 during Oct 2006. For > 2 months, I have been trying to get it to work. I want to clone a Hard Disk Drive [ HDD ], by using the bootable feature, so I can avoid installing the product. I want to do this to avoid damaging the computer's file system.

I tried to clone from 1 SATA HDD, Western Digital 80 GB to a 2nd SATA HDD, Western Digital 80 GB. Acronis tech support has been uncooperative. They asked me to prepare a report. I did. I sent it to them, twice. I am still trying to resolve that issue.

Norton Ghost 10 does not have the feature [ cloning, using bootable CD ].

I was able to successfully use Norton Ghost 2003. NG 2003 doesn't support USB drives.

Can you recommend a different product, 1 that supports SATA HDD cloning as well as cloning to USB drives?

Sincerely,
RF123

Yes, I just gave up on Acronis myself. If you go to their support site, people there are talking about "BING", which is BootIt NG or BootIt Next Generation, part of the raving is about the support, ease of use and an excellent website which even has video tutorials. DO NOT install before reading the manual. I just got it this evening, so I haven't read the manual, nor used it yet, but thats what fed up Acronis users are going to. They also provide a download for a fully functioning, 30 day trial. To be honest, after going to Acronis' site, I was glad I couldn't get it to work. [email protected]
or www.TeraByteUnlimited.com
I would be interested on your view of this as I am new to this sort of stuff
Seems to be better here than at what I thought was their official support site. Wilders Security Forum. [email protected] did respond to my emails daily, 24 hr turnover, which is a lot better than some companies I have tried to deal with. However, in my case, I just need partitions, OS selector isn't necessary. I have come to the conclusion it will be quicker to reformat my whole harddrive and start from scratch. I am not as patient as rainforest123, three days (24hrs), is long enough for me. I'd be done already had I just started from scratch. It is almost like someone here either knows or is related to acronis.
Which I guess is irrelevant so long as it gets results;)
Good luck rainforest123
I don't wish to offend anyone, but, Merry Christmas to all
