Well I have a old discontinued hp 170 color copier. Awhile ago it started "bleeding" ink. It finally got to the point where it was going through one black cartridge a week. So we decided to buy a new one. Well boss wants to know if anything can be replaced to fix it. I'm guessing no, but I could be wrong. So here I am, if anyone has any info on replacement parts message back.
Thanks,
Svelay

Yes it can be fixed, at a high cost the cartridges are combination of print heat and storage tank and the print head is controlled by the printers main board, this is telling the print head to inject but not telling it to hold, therefore it's empting the tank probably threw one or two jets, that's why it takes a week to empty it, the only way to fix it is to send it to HP and let them fix it, there are no consumer replaceable electronics in it, it will cost more then two times what you paid for it when it was new.
