how are you connecting to the net

via wireless or plugged in to a router by a wire

rpeat the steps above about resetting tcp/IP but also do it to any wireless connection in network connections

right click on a blank part of desktop & select properties/desktop/customize desktop/web / uncheck anything there ( you will probably see 2 entries saying something about google or www.gamenavigator.ru/ ) select them & press delete

press ok a few times

and I need to examine a suspicious file I found in the wpfind log

Just press new topic, fill in the needed details and just give a link to your post here & then press the browse button and then navigate to & select the files on your computer, If there is more than 1 file then press the more attachments button for each extra file and browse and select etc and then when all the files are listed in the windows press send to upload the files ( do not post HJT logs there as they will not get dealt with)

open HJT/press config/misc tools/ tick both little boxes about minor & empty sections & press generate start up list

post that back here

and

download agent ransack from http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/default.aspx

install it & run it
when it opens paste this into the containing text box

set the next drop down box to look in C: and press start search

leave it and it will search every file for on your computer for that text and make a list of them

it will take some time

when it finishes press file and then save results and make sure the dot is in clipboard and that there is a tick in filename only ( make sure contents is unticked)

press save and then paste the contents back here in a reply please

then repeat using this as the search string please
