Solved: Help With Secure32.html

I found this site via Google searching for help on Secure32.html. I downloaded a couple of files today that had virus/spyware, but ZoneAlarm had caught them. Or at least I thought. Evidently didn't catch all of it. Thanks to D_Trojanator for his reply to the "Solved: c:\secure32.html Virus". I've downloaded HiJackThis, KillBox and SmitfraudFix. Here's my log from HiJackThis:

Seeing as I wasn't getting any replies, figured I try it on my own albeit reluctantly. Ran HijackThis and got rid of the occurances of the 6 occurances of secure32.html and the autosys.exe in my windows/system32 directory. Ran KillBox and and had it delete those 2 files on reboot. After reboot HijackThis still had the Secure32.html and autosys.exe files still listed. Ran it again and looks fine. I then ran SmitFraudFix and it looked fine. O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Looks fine, any problems?

Thanks for the reply. I ran HJT and removed your suggestion. Prior to the removal I only had one problem. ZoneAlarm ISS found a virus it could not remove: Win32/INService!generic. I manually deleted the infected file and ZoneAlarm approved. After your suggestion, I had one problem: GoogleDesktop gave an error on re-boot and closed. I doubt it had anything to do with your suggestion, but I'll research it just to make sure. Here's my latest HJT log:

I went ahead and updated them all. I did do a thorough check and found some old copies of Macromedia Flash pug-ins. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to unregister all of them via Adobe's method. Not too concerned with them since they're not active anyway.

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I'm clean free. If I have any additional problems I'll make sure to start a new thread.

Great!

It's a good idea to Flush your System Restore after removing malware:

  • On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
  • Click Properties.
  • Click the System Restore tab.
  • Check Turn off System Restore.
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.
  • Restart the computer.

To create a new restore point:
  • Start go to All Programs
  • Accessories, System Tools and select System Restore.
  • In the System Restore wizard, select "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
  • Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup".
  • Click Create and you're done.
