hi, I downloaded hijackthis and ran it and now I don't have a clue what to do next. I'm so not a tech saavy person- my problem has been a very sudden storm of pop-ups and programs that have installed themselves on my computer daily. I keep uninstalling only to find them there again and my browser keeps getting changed or has toolbars added to it. ANY help would be sooo appreciated. I have spybot and adaware and did the custom settings to adaware that were suggested on this site.
This is my log:

Hello Basic..and welcome to TSG.......could you please post your HijackThis log as a new post,in its own thread. If we start tagging onto existing threads it will get confusing.

Thanx:up:

Hi basicgrad

Welcome to TSG! :)

No need to start a new thread now as I have split your post off into your own thread. In the future if you have a Question/Problem please start a "New Thread". It get's too confusing trying to address two different people's problem in the same thread and you may get overlooked.

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Thanks for the immediate help! Wow, I'm impressed.

I ran hijackthis again and fixed the ones suggested and restarted. I also installed AVG and scanned and found I had 4 trojoans which totally surprised me. I followed suggestions I found on another post(how did I get infected in the first place 3-2-2004) and did just about everythng suggested.

I feel so much safer now and my computer is back to normal. Yeah!!

But I still don't know how to post a new thread or even if I'm posting this reply correctly.

Again, THANKS a ton!

You're Welcome.

You posted in this thread correctly.

To post a new thread in any of the forums you just look in the upper right corner just above all the threads for this:
