HELP!!!
When I turn on my computer, nothing happens! It just sits there and makes sustained, high-pitch beeps! It won't respond to boot disks, either - It doesn't even scan the floppy disk drive! Is this a hardware problem? A software problem? A virus?! The computer has worke fine for a long time, but one day I turned it on and this happened. WHAT IS GOING ON?!

How many beeps?
Do you know what type of MotherBoard/BIOS you have?

this page may tell us what the problem is.

Sounds like one of your keys on your keyboard might be stuck or shorted. Try this...power down your machine, unplug the keyboard and restart. You should get a post error message indicating a keyboard error.

If you get the keyboard error message, check your keys, blow them out with canned air, remove keys if nessecary and clean it really good if you can't find the stuck key. Then plug it back in and restart it.

Thanks for your help, but the problem has been fixed. It turned out something inside the tower had been knocked out of place. A couple taps and it was fixed.
