Hi there, I hope someone can help me because I have tried everything I could think of to repair firefox and musicmatch, I suspect I have a virus or some kind of malware.

My OS: Windows XP SP2
Antivirus: Avast
Browser: Firefox (newest version)
I also have: Spybot, Hijackthis, Atf-Cleaner, CCleaner

It all started a few days ago when I noticed that I couldn't open my Jukebox musicmatch anymore. I tried restarting my computer but it didn't help. I tried reinstalling from a CD but it wouldn't even allow me to open the installer. So I started cleaning my computer with the Atf Cleaner and CCleaner but this did not help.

My Windows media player also had a problem but I think I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I also was downloading several pdf files from rapidshare with no problems since a few days with no problem but today I suddenly get the message "ERROR: Please enable JavaScript." I checked my Firefox configuration but it says that it is enabled. (I don't know if this happened after cleaning or something else). Anyway, I downloaded the newest JavaRE and Firefox and installed them, but I still get the same message.

I then ran Spybot with the newest updates and found SmitfraudC and successfully removed that with the instructions that Spybot gave. I used ProcessExplorer.exe to kill the smitfraud processes then restarted the computer and Spybot cleaned the rest.

I don't know if I have a bug or a virus or something but I still can't open my jukebox and I still get the Java Script error message for rapidshare (which means I can't download the files from there.).

I did get the firefox extension for the megaupload but I uninstalled it now because I thought that was the reason it didn't work.

I would also like to mention that i tried to use my system restore points but it always said that it was unsuccessful since there were no changes since the restore point.

*sigh*

Could please someone look at my hijack this thread and see if I missed something or if I have a virus or spyware or malware or anything bad? Or has anyone an idea why I can't open my jukebox?

Do you think I should reinstall my Windows XP? I don't mean reformatting, just reinstalling.. would I loose my saved files like pictures, documents and music if I would reinstall?

I know those are a lot of questions and favors to ask but hopefully someone can help.

Edit: Avast found: Win32:Rbot-CXN [Trj] (in ER\NPROTECT\00081161.06 upd\CA_10.06 update\Ca10key.exe) and I let it delete it.
