Hi biswas

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums!

Were you able to resolve this?

If not, try Exporting the Address Book as .csv file. Open the .csv file and make your edits then resave the file.
Try the Import to see if you get different results.

Let us know if that works for you or if you already solved this issue.

Thank you very much. I have tried it with my small personal address list.... i.e.exported as .csv file and then deleted all address book (gasp!) and then imported the saved exported file....It worked!! no additions made.
I will now use it on the big address list I have of nearly 500 addresses.
regards,
biswas

Thanks for posting back and letting us know that worked for you.
With a .csv file you can use it for other applications besides Outlook Express. :)
Keep one as a backup.

You can mark your thread solved using the Thread Tools drop down menu at the top of the page.
