I recently sent out an e-mail to about 20 recipients and received back this error message for four of them:

The following addresses had delivery problems.

(address)
Permanent Failure: Other address status

Can anyone tell me what that means? Is it something that I'm doing, or something on the recipients end that causes this problem?

Thanks.

Check and make sure that there is not a mistake in the email address. Send another email to the problem
address and just place the word Text as the subjest and nothing in the body of the message. If it goes
through, then it must have been something in the message body that bounced the email. If it doesn't go through,
then double check the email address.

Thanks for the suggestion. I suspect that messages which contain links to certain web-pages (this had a link to MS PowerPoint Viewer) are being kicked back by various security programs at ISPs and / or recipients. My sister has found that typing the link as text for later copy/paste into a browser may get around that problem.
