I know I should know this, but for the life of me, can't remember LOL; when you drag a dialog box or item that's on your desktop, there's an outline of the box that moves before you move the box. How do you turn that off???

right. like i have a website opened in the browser & it's minimized or cropped 2 my liking & i want 2 adjust it's postion on the desktop, when i click & move it there's an outline that moves b4 i actually move the dialog box etc. happens with media player or anything that's open on the desktop. just want 2 uncheck some box somewhere so that i don't have the outline lol...

Try right clicking the desktop > properties > appearance tab > effects > put a check mark in show window contents while dragging and ok your way out.
