It's a 1.9Ghz phone, not 6Mhz. 6.0 is their marketing speak.
Basically, it's a digital cordless, running on a new(er) band. The 11EE2 looks like the same phone, but without the answering machine.

A coujple of months ago we were looking at getting a new cordless. We had an AT&T with integrated machine, that the battery was dieing on. We tried a new Uniden 5.8Ghz for a couple days, then took it back. I went and bought a battery for the AT&T, as that had more features that the Uniden did. The AT&T is analog at 900Mhz, and suits us just fine.
