I have a dual boot system. Both 2000. One of them are for my business and the other is for home use. If someone else were to use my system they don't know which to select. Is there any way to change the names that are displayed on the operating selection screen? Thanks for the help

Open Windows Explorer

Tools-->Folder Options-->View

Check "Show Hidden Files and Folders"

Uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System Files"

Apply...yes to the "are you sure" then OK

Browse c: find boot.ini. Open and edit one or both of the strings

"Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" to reflect your wants.

e.g.
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Business" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Home" /fastdetect

Save the file. Undo the folder options. Then restart and try it out.
