[SOLVED] Can't Reduce Font Size; Ok Button Off Screen

1024 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  hewee
I WENT TO CONTROL PANEL>DISPLAY>SETTINGS>ADVANCED>SIS620 AND CHANGED THE FONT SIZE TO 150% JUST TO SEE WHAT IT WAS LIKE. NOW I WANT TO CHANGE BACK TO A SMALLER SIZE. BUT THE SIS620 SCREEN IS SO LARGE THAT THE OK BUTTON I NEED TO CLICK ON IS OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. HOW CAN I MAKE THE CHANGE? THANKS, GRANDPAW

go back there

CONTROL PANEL>DISPLAY>SETTINGS>ADVANCED> and change the font size to 125% or 100% (whatever it was before)

use your 'tab' button on the keyboard, watch where the 'highlight' goes
3 'tabs' should take you to the 'ok' button
hit enter

OR
on the settings page, check your display resolution (ie 800x640, etc), raising it will reduce how the font size looks on your screen.

depending on your monitor size, you may want to change this setting instead
ie: with a 17" monitor, i use 1024x768, with fonts 125%

I did that one time & had a heck of a time getting it back

Did you try using your cursor/pointer to pull the taskbar down all the way... sometimes just that little bit helps alot

hope that works
if not...when trying to apply the change

try holding down the shift key & clicking enter at the same time ...

hope that works

Thanks, jbcalg and SavvyLady, for taking the time to reply. I tired Savvy Lady's suggestion first and it worked, so I didn't have the chance to try jbcalg's suggestion. But I have retained it for future use. grandpaw
