(Solved) Can't open attachments in OE 6 (claims unsafe)

I'm using OE version 6.0.2800.1106 with Windows 98. Sometimes I can open attachments but most of the time I get the following message:

"OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail." Why does this happen and is there anything I can do to open these attachments? Most the time I know who is sending the email, and I know the attachments are reliable and safe.

This is new added feature in OE6 to help protect people from downloading and opening potential viruses. If you go to OE\Tools\Options\Security you should find a switch to shut this feature off.

That is great! Just make sure you have an up to date virus scanner on board and active to help field all the critters that are out there. If you do not have one that is up to date and require one make sure you uninstall your ole one and then take a look at a free one from Grisofts AVG antivirus. http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_index.htm?session=92aecb71cdd7b32f6abec6076cd0682e
