Im trying to install some programs such as MSN Explorer and the new ICQ version and the setup doesnt complete, it begins, I choose the folders I want to install it, then I click next and the setup program freezes!!!

How can I fix it???

It has happened before whne I tried to install IE6 too, and with another programs which I cant remember now...

Follow these instructions, reboot, run defrag and then try the install again and I believe they will install for you.

Delete all install "folders" in the temp folder.

This may not be of much help, but I'm in a discussion with someone at a board here in Holland, who has exactly the same problem.
She can download and install lots of things but MS Messenger 4.5 and DirectX refuse to.

We've tried everything, but no joy.
When we find something I'll let you know.

Have you tried resetting Internet Options/security and 'advanced' to their default settings?

Nando, have you tried installing the programs in their default folder locations? There are programs that protest at being installed in user-selected locations.

Yes I am....

The problem is still hapening.... (
