When trying to install WIndows XP Pro on my Compaq Presario 5441 Desktop, which has no operating system installed because a larger newer harddrive has been installed, everything goes OK- it formats the harddrive, and starts copying files from the Windows XP Pro Installation Disk. Then all of a sudden, I'm advised that it can't copy certaing files and gives me the option of quiting of hitting the Esc key to continue to the next file. After it fails on three diffeent files, the dreaded "Blue Screen of Death" appears advising that a serious problem has been detected, and for purposes of protecting the computer from further damage, the computer must shut down. The error code is as follows:
***STOP. 0x00000050 (0x00000000, 0x80882211, 0xE17AF912, 0x00000001)
I understand the first part means basically that something is not where its supposed to be (in memory, I assume). But, does anyone understand what the rest of the code means?
