Hi,

I searched and found nothing. Since AVG is a security product I thought the security thread is the right place to post my problem:

AVGCC is often using 100% of CPU time. I have to use the task manager to kill the process.

I have AVG 7.5 Network Edition
AVG Firewall is disabled (windows firewall also disabled)

Hi, I recieved this from Grisoft Technical Support and the problem is solved:
Thank you for your email.

This problem may be related to the corrupted AVG configuration. Please
follow the instructions below.

1. Close AVG Control Center (Program menu / Exit)

2. Stop AVG7 Alert Manager Server system service. Click on Start menu, choose "Run..." and execute this command:

net stop avg7alrt

3. Please, go to the menu Start -> Search -> For files or folders.
Please, find all files called SCHED-????.cfg (???? = some numbers) and delete them.

The location of these files is:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\AVG7
or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVG7

4. Now, please, Start AVG Control Center (Start menu / Programs / AVG 7.5 / AVG Control Center). AVG7 Alert Manager Server service will be started automatically.

Please inform us if this solved the problem. If you are still
experiencing this problem, send us all diagnostic/log files from AVG
installed on your computer. Please follow the steps below:

1. Launch Windows Explorer (or open My Computer icon on Desktop)

2. Locate this folder:
C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG7

3. Locate and launch "avgdiag.exe" application

4. Click on "Next" button

5. Check all checkboxes in the tree and click on "Next" button to collect all necessary files

6. Enter your e-mail address and add a brief description

7. Send all files to our Technical Support
