Every time I open internet explorer, right after booting, I get this msg "Spybot has blocked the download of Avenue A, Inc". Does anyone know what this is and what I can do about it.

Do a google on "Avenue A" and you will learn more than you care to know. There is also listed several FREE removal tools.

SpyBot is just blocking a cookie - There is a way to turn off that notification, but I can't find it.

Try this: Click the Immunize icon, then choose, "Block all bad pages silently"

Choosing this did work: "Block all bad pages silently" (in drop down box) under Immunize.
