After reading Jan. techguynews, I downloaded AVG Anti-Virus 7.5 free version.
Than I ran a scan, and after just a few seconds, my screen displayed a
Symantec Antivirus Notification on Realtime Protection Scan.
Virus found: Downloader
File. C:\45.exe

Does that mean that this came with the instalation of AVG?
Do I need AVG Anti-virus ,if I have Symantec?
Also I have Ad-Aware Se Spyware Detection, should I have AVG instead or Should I keep both.
I know this is a lot of questions, but I'm just trying to find what is best for my PC.
:)

I not sure, because it was installed by information services guys about 2 or 3 years ago when I was working from home. Now I'm retired.
I have corporate edition and in the Virus Definition File it shows
Version: 1/03/2007 rev.66
I think it automatically updates.

So do I need AVG Anti-virus ?

Thanks for your help

Don't use both, use one or the other. If you are satisfied with Norton, use it. I use AVG and am totally satisfied with it. I have always removed Norton or McAfee when they came with any new computer I bought. This is just my opinion, not everyone's.
