Running Acronis True Image 8. Today I went to do a backup, went through all the selections but the program just sits at the final operations screen and never procedes with the backup. It ran fine a few days ago. I could reinstall it, but I wondered if anyone had run into this.

Curious enough, I did see this on a system here, and I don't know why it happened. I had TI 9.1 waiting in the wings, so I uninstalled and installed that. Worked fine, so I put it out of my mind.

Mine got to the point where it was going to put up the progress bars, but they remained blank and it just sat there. I waited for about 1/2 an hour to see if it would ever go, but it didn't.

I decided just to reinstall, but I'm being asked for a serial #. Most likely that's on the CD case which is who knows where. Seen any good prices on the latest version?

If you registered TI V8 at https://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/products/registration/ then you should be able to login on the right side. The serial number will be shown.

I'm able to log in at the Acronis site, so I must have been there, but unfortunately nothing shows as registered. Maybe tomorrow I'll do another search for the case. Thank you both.

I doubt the upgrade through Acronis will be any cheaper than just doing the download purchase from NewEgg, FWIW.

Acronis has the upgrade for $29.99 at their site. A couple of bucks cheaper.
