Hello, I know the basics of web design. Now I want to create responsive design, so I need a fluid grid. I want something like 960gs (960.gs) because that's very effective.

I came to know that there is a fluid grid of 960. I went to the fluid version site at http://www.designinfluences.com/fluid960gs/
I couldn't find anything to download the css or anything else. So I opened the source code and copied the CSS. Unfortunately, the system is working for me, but it's kind of malfunctioning. The problem is the main container doesn't get centered- I can't fix it.........

Can you help me, please? what's the problem?

Note: I copied the CSS which was marked as "No Javascript" in the dropdown menu, though I didn't know what's the relation of Javascript with the CSS framework.

the reason the download didn't give you the css is cause you downloaded(or were going to download) the folder called 960...witch only contains iondex.html for 960... ...this is a package so to speak.. and the 960...is simply a theme... what you need to do(im sure this is explained somewhere but i will do it anyway) goto https://github.com/bauhouse/fluid960gs/downloads and click download as zip(or tar.gz if preferred) open the folder extract the folder "bauhaouse-fluid960gs-e0be40e" at this point you can remove folders "12", "16", and "960" (they may serve a purpose but i don't see it) index.html in the parent directory ("bauhaouse-fluid960gs-e0be40e") is what you want, everything works
Then what the hell was hosted in the website: http://www.designinfluences.com/fluid960gs/

Why was I taken there from the 960.gs when I wanted the fluid grid?
...you seem to be highly confused... i'll try to explain as slowly as possible... you can view the page at http://www.designinfluences.com/fluid960gs/ this is the live demo so to speak... it shows off the files... now you could get the html for the index page at the site... but it wouldn't do what you want or look anything like what it does at the site... because you need the css... which you downloaded.. idk what happened that messed up the positioning, but what i do know is that you can save your self a heck of a lot of trouble and headaches if you look for the word "download" now... "download" is a magical word it usually means "acquire the digital files that make up this thing" in this case on the page at http://www.designinfluences.com/fluid960gs/ that you provided there is a drop down menu... and in the menu is "Download/forum" if you were to roll over that option you would see "Download: githhub" this will take you to https://github.com/bauhouse/fluid960gs/tree/ here you will be able to see all the files that the user has uploaded in the project and you can click "Zip" or you can click "Download"(that magical word again) on the right and follow the steps i told you already... this wil give you a zip file... witch you can open... and uncompress... it will contain ALLLLLL the files you need... now as to why you went to 960.gs.... well idk... my best assumption is that you clicked "The 960 grid system" instead of "dowload"

I don't know what happened, but I am quite sure there was NO Download option when I first visited the site.
