Hi, i recently bought a Ram udgrade Of 256Mb for my Laptop (144 Pin 100PC)
However it did not work in my machine.

I assumed it was because my Machine didn't support 512Mb in each slot.
so i tried to sell it, the person that bought it told me it wasn't compatible with their machine as it was PC133.

is there any way i can tell whether it's PC100 or PC133?
there are no distinguishing numbers or letters, and those that are there i have googled to no effect.

PC-133 memory should be compatible with PC-100 machines. I've never had that combination fail. You can run RAM slower than it's rated speed, it's when you try to run it faster that trouble starts. :)
