im trying to buy a new vid card.. and i was looking at the new geforce 6000 series.. the only problem is it says that they are all pci express.. but teh bottoms of teh cards look like agp so what is teh deal.. do i have to have a mother board with pci express or can it plug into an 8x agp slot.. i was looking at a geforce 6600 or 6600 GT

yeah that is very true .. but still does not help me.. lol..

the 6000 series cards have way faster memorey and interfaces.. so having to to an FX card seems blah now.. so somone please help me does buying one of these cards meani have to buy a new mother board or will it work in an AGP slot?

Not sure where you are looking but I know for a fact that the 6600 and 6800 come in both AGP and PCI-express variations. Now not all places carry both types so just look at another site or store.

An AGP card does not fit into a PCI-e slot nor does a PCI-e card fit into an AGP slot and most motherboards only have one or the other.
