Small spill won’t turn on

439 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  plodr
I just had a small spill of soda on the top of my pc when I checked after it wasn’t too wet but my pc will not turn back on when I tried to restart it. I’m not very good with tech so I don’t know where to start or even what’s wrong so I’d appreciate any help

Desktop or Laptop ? Make and full model name ?

Leave it switched off !

If a laptop turn it upside down and leave it opened and standing up (like the shape of a tent) in a warm place for a few days.
If liquid gets into a computer, you do not want to turn it on until you are postive the liquid has dried. So trying to turn it on right away was wrong.

Soda is both sugary and acidic. It can wreck havoc on computer parts. You should try to rinse the soda out with distilled water then let it dry.
