Slow boot at the load screen.

2273 Views 29 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  cnelson04
It seems to take forever to get to desktop, and What i mean is the load time it takes when you see the Windows Xp Pro Logo and that thing going left to right and left to right. I think its called the boot screen. Well it takes forever to get past that and I would like to no what is slowing it down.

Another question is AVANT Browser How do you set it so that when you open it the window is always maximised?

Control panel, system, hardware, device manager.
Well...for example pick display, it will open telling you what you have, using that information do a search or go to the mfg website and see if there is an updated driver for your adapter.
Well i have an update i installed PcBugDoctor that this guy gave me and well it fixed a TONNE of errors then i whiped in my old system works 2002 cd which i forgot about and installed it, i also fixed all those crazy errors. And now my boot time has never been better. I think it was just dead/corrupted files and registry keys that were slowing it down, but Norton and BugDoc fixed that.
I am suddenly having the same problem as CC .. and have recently started looking at this forum/board in hopes of some help. Here is my most recent HJT log.
