Hi, Nothing bad really in your log. I do suggest that if possible, you configure Office and Corel Office to not start when the computer does, you can start either of them very easily and gain some performance by not having them in your startups. There are some other ones that do not need to be running all the time....
Is all the performance dragging...or just the Net?
You may have some hidden you have "Show all Files" enabled under WINDOWS Explorer?

I will check if I have show all files check or not. My computer is really slow. Takes like a minute or two to open a simple powerpoint project, or a word document sometimes. It is a Compaq, so maybe that's the reason...? It is a fairly new computer (year old or so). It is running at some where near 1.5 ghx and has 512 mb of ram, so it is certainly fast enough to do what I need to do with it. Any other ideas?
