SKYPE: Where does it store my 'favorites'?

Hey guys, I've been using the same install of Skype on my Mac for 18 months now, but I need to do a re-install of Mavericks soon and I want to try running Skype on my PC.

I thought Skype saved 'favorites' and renames I've given to my contacts in the 'Skype cloud', but I'm not so sure now because recently when I signed into Skype I was missing about 60% of my contacts and while I do seem to have all my contacts back, some of my contacts have reverted back to their original names and don't show up under what I renamed them.

Are my 'renamed contacts' saved on my Mac local HDD or on the Skype servers? How can I check this without losing my contacts or favorites???

I asked for help a few times on the Skype official support forum, but didn't get a reply...

I'm just worried that if I login to Skype on the Win8 PC I'll lose my 'favorited contacts' and 'renamed contacts.'

Why don't you just try it? Logging in on another PC won't affect another PC if the list is local to that PC and if it's stored in the cloud then you'll get that same list; either way you'll get your answer.
