Hi,

Problem started today with 'Single Click' its somehow turned on and I can't turn it back off!

Every file or folder now opens with one click, instead of the normal 'Double Click'.

I have checked in folder options and the option for double click still has a tick against it.

I have tried system restore, disc check and sfc /scannow, all to no avail.

The mouse itself is only making one audible click when pressed, so I don't think that is the problem.

Also when I highlight text in word, the text highlights until I release the mouse button, then the text reverts back to normal.

(1) Try slowing down the mouse speed

(2) Try another mouse

(3) Reverse the mouse to left handed

Thank you oldie,

Reversed the mouse to left handed and everything works normally.

I reversed it back and the problem is back, I guess its a new mouse tomorrow.
