*Simple* Question about Windows Moive Maker 2

2691 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Cody [WIN-TEAM]
I have used Movie Maker, TEMPEnc, Pinnacle Studio, etc. but not Movie Maker 2. Does it output to format other than .wmv and uncompressed avi? How is it compared to Movie Maker (1)? I remember Movie Maker constantly crashing and freezing.. Thanx! :)

Well I actually had to open the app to find out and I don't see any options other than .wmv. It may well have but I tried to save a short and had no recourse but to allow it to save it the way it chose. I use Magix products as Pinnacle can really slow my system down by the time I install it and introduce videos. It's a nice application with a lot of potential but I really liked the ease of the Magix Plus and it's range. So there you go. Maybe someone else knows more about Gates tunnel vision for the future of Multimedia and how to introduce formats into the Movie Maker. Jazz

Hi, my name’s Cody, and I’m working with the Windows Media Outreach Team to help answer any questions that folks might have. If you’re using the XP version of Windows Movie Maker, I found a great site that should not only show you all the different ways to save files, but it’s also general enough that it should give you some of the other information you had questions about: Here’s the link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/create/faq.mspx#ESE
I hope this is helpful, please let me know if you’ve got other specific questions!
Thanks,
Cody
