Hi
I know there is an option in IE named 'Show related links' which helps us to find and view websites similar to the one we are viewing at that instant.
My problem is I have forgotten how to use this option. When I consulted the IE Help it asked me to view it by going to Tools and then clicking on 'Show related links' but I don't have anything like that in the Tools menu.
Can anyone refresh my memory? I am using Windows 98 and IE 6.

Thanks.

Yes there is. This link helps you to find web pages similar to the one you are viewing at the moment. I think it was either in the SEARCH option in IE or in the TOOLS menu...but alas...I forgot !!

Forgot to mention this, try opening IE 6 HELP and in the index try typing similar web page viewing. There they tell you how to do it but it doesn't work.

Its definitely in IE 6. That is what I use. Its in the Tools menu. I don't know how you have lost it. I'd give you mine if I could. I never use it. You could probably go to the windows website and re-dl IE6....Maybe their little auto-detect for updates would give you the IE6 dl.

Thanks guys,
After repairing IE I got back the Show Related Links feature. But unfortunately it isn't working anymore. When I click it nothing happens.
Now what ????

I am glad the info helped.

I don't know what you can do to get it to work but if you install the "Google Toolbar" it will not only give you a great popup stopper but will give you a item on your "Right Click" menu that is called "Similar Pages" which will do the same thing.

Yes, it is under Tools and also there is a button that can be added to the Toolbar by customizing. Funny? I put it on the toolbar after reading this and now it has disappeared by itself. I don't use it and it doesn't matter. Just funny that it disappeared.

My "Related" used Google to find related sites. I do not have the Google Toolbar.

But it should work without getting the Google toolbar.
I repaired the IE and everything is supposed to work fine. Its not that I can't do without it, but its kinda funny why it aint working.

Sekirt-Google is the default search for "Related".

You can use the following script to change the default to what ever you want by changing out the related service url or just insert the info in place of what is there.

For some strange unknown reason, I expected it to default to Microsoft!
:D :D :D

Thanks, I knew about customizing search. Just don't use it though.

Try going to Tools-->Internet Options. Then set all Defaults that you find on various tabs. Then reboot to make sure all take effect.

Jerricho-When I click on the "Related" button on the toolobar the "Search" button highlights and the "Search" window pops up on the left side of the screen with the results. You do have the button on your toolbar if I am understanding correctly?

To tell the truth I don't either. I just played with it some when Adaware came up with it in a scan.

I had it come up one time with a German Google as the default is why I had the script.
