Ok. This stupid "Gold Bar" that keeps popping up when I run any flash-based scripts is getting oh so annoying!

I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of it but it keeps coming back. I did everything that it tells me to do to disable it but as soon as I restart IExplorer, all the settings keep resetting.

Anyone know why this is?

If you're inplying that I should download and Use Opera instead, I'd like to inform you that I do have Opera on my computer and I do use it often.

But I intention is not to just replace IE but to FIX IT!

Opera is a nice little program but it's hardly worth replacing IE with since it's so incomplete. Plus, there are many functions and uses that I use IE for that other Browsers like Opera and FireFox just do not support.

So, I'd like someone to at least actually TRY to help me with the problem that I posted, sawry?

You mean the gold bar that informs you of popups, downloadings etc that runs along the top of the window?

Hmm. I just want to go through this. When you go to a website, and click a link that opens a popup window, the gold bar appears saying that popups are blocked. I assume that you then click it and select "Always allow popups from this site" and all that?

Let us know if I am close, or way off.

Either way, I can't say I have a solution. But it can be used as a benchmark where someone can provide an answer.

Yep, You're dead on. It's those stupid Pop-up blocker.

I've done everything I could to fix it. I've even had a Computer Tech try to fix it (After he had to repair my computer after a system crash) and the only thing he was able to do was elimanate the Prompt that asks you whether you are sure you want to allow the Pop-up. Now, at least all I do is just click on the bar and the Pop-up comes up but I Want it gone for good.

It's a built in feature of Internet Explorer, and unfortunately you can't just wave it away. Most likely, there'll be a Registry fix out there, but I wouldn't know where to look.

Are you sure it's Internet Explorer's pop up blocker that's doing it? We've had a problem in our school district with Yahoo toolbar blocking popups. It seemed that it was Internet Explorer's pop up blocker doing it, but it wasn't. Go to add/remove programs and see if Yahoo toolbar is there, and if so delete it and see if that helps. If that's not the case, did you set the Internet Explorer pop up blocker's filter level to low? Default is set to medium, so maybe you need yours set to low?
Good luck!
