Since 9/11 and Iraq invasion, I always thought American troops were best army in the world but now I see them like they are made of clay or cement. I would love to see the Iraqis make a shish kebabs of them. Most Muslims were angry since 1948 and they see failure around the world and the only way they find happiness is by attacking their enemies.

Thats the sickness of Islam. They only find happiness by killing each other! You summed it up perfectly!

You know, it's this kind of blinkered view that really gets my goat up and makes me extremely bloody angry  .. there are other troops involved in this fiasco .. namely British ..

I think the US is pretty much bearing the brunt of the cost, I don't know why that would make you angry

That's too simple of a question for the situation. NO, we shouldn't have invaded Iraq in the first place. YES, we should stay there until we can train Iraqi government to maintain at least a little stability. Once we leave they will fall apart again, but at least it won't look so much like we're abandoning them if we wait until they're "ready." What we really need to do is decide on a timeframe and just tell the Iraqis that after that, we're gone. There's no good way out at this point, but any way is better than sitting around doing nothing.

Actually, the US shouldn't be in the war...after all, they came in, found nothing, should've pulled out at that point...but I seem to recall Bush saying that Iraq was one of the major points of terrorism.

While that point may be debatable...or true, however which way we describe it...it's just war now. The rhetorics on war on terrorism seems....washed out, I suppose, after what, several years of fighting a war that increasingly seems quite similar to the Vietnam War?

That makes sense---sacrifice more men and our treasury knowing that when we leave it will revert back to what it was. Why dont you tell that to the parents of the kids who are getting killed and maimed everyday. There is a good way out---LEAVE.

No, it wouldn't mean that our mens' lives are worthless.

As you probably know, we've lost just over 3,000 troops now.

What about the previous World Wars? How many men did we lose before it finally ended?

Will the Iraq war ever end?

I doubt it, with the way the administration's going. I wonder what the next admin would do?

And besides, our military's stretched thin too. We seem to be continuously sending and receiving soldiers everyday.

Where are they going now? Back to Iraq, or to other countries?
