Ok a few years ago I bought a Olympus Camedia C-2100 Here is a review and picture

About 6 months ago it just stopped working. LCD dont light up and only get battery info on the top little lcd.

I have been thinking about sending it in to be repaired only I am afraid that it could far out price what a new one would cost.

Ok after searching around I have read a few reports of them having a faulty power circuit board that can cost over $240 to replace..

I have been using my Nikon but I miss the zoom feature...

I think I am going to box it up tonight unless someone says I can get a better camera for about the same price. I have not shopped around much in the last year.

Saw this Baby though

yeah ask them for a quote first and if its a minor problem and worthwhile to continue, then proceed with repair...

otherwise, this could be a good time to invest in a newer camera

Might want to look at the Canon Digital Rebel if you are going to pay around $1000. It is compatible with the Hitachi Microdrives which are lower in cost than the flashcards. 1Gb cost $150.00
