I'm trying to use 2 different frequency RAMs, one is 2400Mhz 8GB (Kingston) and the other 2666Mhz 4GB(Hynix). Previously I was using 8GB kingston with 4GB RAM on my dell3568 but the frequencies were similar. i.e. 2400Mhz. I spilled water on my Dell machine so sold it and got a new Acer Aspire 5 which came with 4GB Hynix. Now I'm planning to use the 8GB memory from dell on this new machine.

I would like to know if it would be fine to use these RAMs together and would not cause any trouble. As far as my knowledge of hardware is concerned I think that we are good if the voltages are the same on both memory sticks that we are planning to use. The voltages of these sticks are 1.2 V.
But I just want to be sure before I open the case and put something inside.
