In the last day or so I have received multiple errors on my computer. I use one every day but I am not that familiar with how to fix errors. I am running Microsoft Windows XP version 5.1.2600.

Here they are:
1) When using internet exployer: cannot find 'file///c:secure32 etc. A friend suggested that I load foxfire and the error has gone away.
2) Multiple adult site pop-ups. I think my son or his friend where on my computer the other night because of this and the fact that the pop-up blocker had been romoved. I have since put it back.
3) Ultimate Clearner 2007 opens every time I log on. This is not a program that I requested o
4) Internet exployer has encountered a problem and needs to close
5) Multiple pop up interuptions

Run spyware/virus scans.

Go to Start >> Run, in run type in msconfig, click OK. In msconfig select Startup Tab, if Ultimate Cleaner 2007 is listed, uncheck it.

SpySheriff is a rogue anti-spyware application that uses fake alerts and false positives as a goad into scaring you into purchasing their software. This software is usually installed by Trojans that issue fake security alerts in your Windows taskbar stating that you are infected with a variety of malware.

I advise you post in the Security Forum. Let the experts take care of this one. They will probably want you to include in your post a HijackThis (HJT) Logfile.
