I have a Canon Pixma 6220D printer hooked to a pc that has Xp Pro and I also use for Puppy Linux as well. Puppy like most other Linux programs does not recognize this printer or have drivers for it. I can access an HP laser printer over a network and I have 2 options other than using it with the main pc on which I can always do.
I have a USR 5461 router that has a print server usb port and also a Buffalo link Station drive that all pc's access (some wired and some wirelssly as a server) that also can take a usb printer. Between the two is a Linksys gigbit switch which is where all units plug to the network.
I guess either plug in would access the HP printer and I'm in a fog as to which would be the best usb port to utilize for the print server.
Thanks in advance as always....
