Not that I know of? Maybe I'm famous and I don't know it! :D

Yeah I run the command line app instead of the GUI screensaver app which is really slow. I also saved half an hour by using my W2K instead of my W98se to process, W2K is much more efficient in using clock cycles. When I first started I ran the screensaver on W98se and it took me 9 hrs. 15 min. Now with the commandline app and W2K I do a WU in 5 hrs. 40 min. I'm doing just over 2 WU's a day.

how is that you guys've both made my number-crunching look like i started yesterday, and i'm ranked ahead of both of you? or is having a high rank bad?? lol.
I use SETIspy as a front-end and just run the GUI minimized... currently, my processor speed is ranked as slightly better than a SPARC :D (a moral victory) I'm going to see if the command-line program runs any better :). isn't it neat how there's like 5 billion teams all competing to do the most work that could possibly change humanity's outlook on the universe?

*Go Team Lamb Chop! Beat [email protected], We were #1 Way before you were! lol*

nice thing is, with a slow [email protected], you can plan on when you'll need to be connected (about every 2 days, give or take 4 hours). you'd almost need to have a constant Internet connection if it was returning results every 4 hours :D

have either of you read the article about what an alien signal would look like on [email protected]? I have the link if you'd like ;)
