Our server at work is showing a problem, started yesterday (did it once then) and again today. Today it did this once this morning, and now is doing it continuously. We can start the unit, it will go into bios setup if we wish and stay there as long as we want; but if we allow it to continue past login we get the Windows Is Resuming Operation screen, and as soon as it finishes resuming it immediately or near immediately goes right back into hibernation.

Timing varies. One time it snapped right from resume screen into hibernating screen. Last time I tried, it got to the desktop. I tried to get into Control panel, which never opened; instead, it started the hibernating screen.

The unit does not seem excessively warm. I haven't gotten inside the unit yet,

Any ideas? Is this happening to anyone else? Thanks in advance for your time and attention!

This is the command to remove the hibernation file

powercfg.exe -h off

I do not know how to boot to a command prompt in 2008 so I cannot give instructions on how to do that part but I do know that if you can the above command will kill the hibernate feature.

The system would try to hibernate if it detected a low power situation.
