I have to take my computer to the shop to have a fan replaced. They won't let me do it myself as the warranty will be void. What is the best way to protect my information? I have another computer I can transfer things to while it is in the shop. Should I delete everything from my computer or is there a way to protect things? Thanks for any advice.

MPeg3,
Maybe have a look at the possibilities of CryptainerLE - a secure drive? Sorry I can't do a link but I'm on a works PC with restricted access.
