Okay, I think I've run into this problem. If I'm not mistaken, if you have the machine boot straight into Windows without inputting logon/pass, then some of the tasks won't work.
I wanted to run a sound effect (like an alarm clock) for my mother (she always had it in Win98), but it never went off. After doing some reading, found that she would have to log in every time for it to work. As it stands now, the machine only has one user and it logs her in automatically....
