I have a Mustek Scanmagic !200 dpi scanner that has stopped working. When i try to scan using the direct scan button a pop up message says, "The scanner is not connected please check the cables". I checked and the cables are plugged in tight I then tried to access the scanner through Photo Express and it would still not work and this different message pop up "Twain error[to09] error in getting the first Twain data source [to21] unable to find Twain source manager [Twain_32dll] please copy the Twain _32dll file from your souce disk to your windows folder to39. ( Is the source disk the installation CD?) The scanner is intergrated with Photo Express so if there is no way of sorting the problem and i have to uninstall the scanner and then reinstall is it likely to mess up the Photo Express settings

Thanks for the advice, i looked at the Mustek site before i posted but i could not have looked hard enough. One other question, do i need to disconnect the scanner from the computer before i try to sort it out
I would go through it first just uninstalling the software, removing the twain files and folders and reinstalling. That usually corrects a twain problem. If it is being difficult: disconnect the scanner, remove it in device manager and under scanners in control panel, uninstall the software, remove twain and start from scratch with the Mustek installation instructions. They will be specific about whether to plug the scanner in first or install the software and what to do at the new hardware found prompt.
Brought this up to date for if someone has the same problem in the future. The fault was the 12v.mains adaptor that supplies power to the scanner. Fitted a new one and the scanner is working O K
