I have bought an external hard drive and I would like my various programs to automatically save data to the external hard drive. How would I do this? Would I need to install the programs onto that hard drive?
Most applications that use windows defaults will 'follow the lead' so to speak of other apps.. For example when you download a file or program and choose the 'save option' if you choose to save it in a folder on the new HD then the next time you do that it will give you that location first.. But for individual programs such as Quicken, Money, etc, you will have to set them individually to where you want to back up with their built in save options.
