Same graphics card problem again

System:

PSU- Super Flower Leadex 3 850W 80 gold
CPU- Ryzen 5 3600XT
MB- Gigabyte B450M DS3H
GPU- AMD Radeon RX-5700XT
HDD's
Main: Gigabyte NVMe 1.3/M.2/PCIe 3.0x4/ 1TB SSD
Storage: Crucial BX-500 2TB SSD NAND SATA 3 2.5"
HSF- Wraith Prism
RAM- GSkill Ripjaws 64GB (16GB x4)
OS- Windows 10 home

Well after a few months, my graphics card croaked in the same way as before again. Only this time I wasn't playing a graphics intensive game. I was listening to a video while playing a simple browser based one on Firefox that the fans didn't even throttle up for. Been doing this same combo for a few months with nothing. There has been several times I'd come home fro work and found the screen wouldn't turn on, forcing me to do a hard reset (the only info on the event viewer was a critical kernel power 41 error whenever it happened).
Will try sending it back for repair again, but will get a brand new 3 fan one in the meantime. Which AMD card is better than a RX-5700XT? (I want to stay with Radeon).

Since your video card failed at least twice I would try to figure out what is going on with your computer before I would worry about buying another video card.

Do you have adequate cooling for your case? You can determine this by testing your computer under load and monitoring the temperatures. You can test this when you get a RX-5700XT replacement.

How is the noise with the Wraith Prism CPU cooler? I would expect it to be loud under load. You might consider a better air cooler. There are a number of good ones for $50-60 US.
I have a Cougar MX330 g mid size tower that dwarfs the 2 fan 5700 card. It has 2 intake and 3 exhaust fans. I also have a temp monitor and the card wasn't even under much of a load (a browser and Discord was all that was running) unlike the last time it croaked when I had a cramped casing with 2 fans and was running a high end game (DCS World). The prism runs fairly quiet under load, but the CPU isn't the problem because right now it's running under the same load with a little GeForce 210 card and there has been no problems.
And getting a brand new card is out of the question now. I refuse to pay scalper prices (the same card I got for $380 new now sells for around $1200 used. New ones are around $1400). It's a risk, but I managed to snipe a used 3 fan ZOTAC GeForce 1070 ti off Ebay for $600. I won't be getting a new card for quite some time.
The only 3-fan ones I see sold recently on Ebay are below. Did you buy one of these?

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Ti AMP EXTREME 8GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Sold May 2, 2021 $532.00 + $14.20 shipping

ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB GDDR5 Graphics Card (ZTP10710C10P)
Sold May 5, 2021 $550 + $15.50 shipping

I am surprised you didn't consider a ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1660 Super for $550 to $650. I know they only have 2 fans but they are new not used. Also more important is that according to the testing I have seen online they are pretty close to the GTX 1070 in performance. However, the GeForce GTX 1660 Super only has about 90% the permformance of a GTX 1070 ti.

Nope the one I got was one penny shy of $600. And after the cooling fiasco I had with that 5700 I'm staying away from 2 fan ones.

I thought you just bought it. I think I found that one that was bought 3 weeks ago.

I did, I bought it yesterday. ZOTAC Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti AMP Extreme (ZT-P10710B-10P)
Well the 1070 has been installed for about a couple weeks now, and I haven't had a single black screen/hard reset yet. It stays a LOT cooler while running DCS World. The 5700 is still being worked on, but when I get it back it's not going back in. It will be my new backup one.
