having only just got broadband i find when i shut down computer i get message rundll32.exe not responding and have to shut it manually,can anyone help with this problem and what is it doing to computer

i suspect you have spyware.
have a look at the secruity section.
and post a hijackthis log - someone will view and help

Download HijackThis from here http://download.com.com/3001-8022-10227352.html. Make a new folder for the program and then open it, click Scan. When it finishes scanning, do no remove anything but instead save the log and post it here.
